Appearance: Gulfrut is quite tall for his age, standing at around 6' 1", Not being very physically fit he is very thin. As described by his father "The lad's got such little meat on 'is bones a small gust could carry 'im away!". Gulfruts eyes are an unremarkable shade of green, his hair is dark brown often mistaken for straight black. His clothing is often simplistic sheepskins and cowhides however he keeps a large feather (which doubles as a writing utensil) he keeps on his shirt by his heart.
Personality: Gulfrut is entirely consumed by his writings, he is constantly writing melodies, songs or lyrics and often it causes him to be oblivious of everything around him including dangers. He rarely minds others business unless it's a possible source for inspiration. When he does communicate it is usually brief and to the point and often makes simple hand gestures in place of words if at all possible. To outsiders, he's just a quiet loner however he thinks highly of himself considering his thinking to be on another plane than that of his peers (which he concludes either means he's insane or a genius).
History: Gulfrut was born on the high seas to two fishermen parents. At 10 his mother died of scurvy leaving Gulfrut's father to take care of the boy much to their mutual chagrin. Whenever their boat would dock Gulfrut's father would drag him to wherever he went (not trusting him alone on the boat). This meant Gulfrut mostly spent time in taverns when away from the boat. He was fascinated by many of the bar songs and over time fancied himself a writer. However he was constantly unhappy with his works blaming them not on lack of skill but lack of inspiration. After hearing outlandish tales of beasts known as dragons on an island known as Burk he set sail at 18, hoping for inspiration there. He has just docked.
