Breed: Blazing Sunrise
Appearance: The Blazing Sunrise is a truly spectacular dragon. Their scales normally range from a natural red to a yellow-orange color. They normally have some sort of marking, the commonly seen mark being jagged stripes or triangles down their spine. They can, however, also have spots, speckles, or other, rarer types of markings. No matter what color, the Blazing Sunrise's scales shimmer in the light. They are especially beautiful to behold at sunrise, where their scales blaze, hence the species' name. This dragon is a quadruped, with long muscular legs and thick black claws. They are normally four-toed. Their muzzles are of average length, and older specimens normally have very long front fangs that hang over their lower lip. The horns of the Blazing Sunrise can come in many different shapes and lengths, but they are either a bright ivory color or a dark ebony color. This dragon's wings are very large, leathery and bat-like ribbed with five wing bones. Instead of spikes, Blazing Sunrises have fur that starts at their forehead and usually ends at the base of their tail. This fur can be any color. Their bodies are lithe, with powerful muscles, especially in the chest and back legs. Their tails are long and tipped with either fur or a tail blade of some type, such as an arrowhead. A human of average height stands to just below this dragon's shoulders, and their necks are about five feet long when stretched out.
How it acts, Personality, Attitude: Because of the placing of their muscles, Blazing Sunrises are powerful leapers and flyers and tend to enjoy doing so. They enjoy mountainous habitats, and like to make their caves deep within cliffs. These dragons are quite wise, and could be called the "elders" of the dragon world. They carefully think out their actions, even when young. They aren't very quick to anger, but if you do anger them, watch out. They tend to hold grudges. This dragon is quick and of average strength, but would rather solve a problem by thinking it out than fighting. They are, however, fiercly protective and loyal in battle.
Hah! Factor: Their underbelly scales and wing membranes are very soft and vunerable. Also, the muscle ligaments are roped very intricately through its legs. If you cut it in the right place, it could possibly never move again. So, while they look intimitating, they can be easy to disable if not careful.
Ah! Factor: The fire of this dragon is extremely hot, perhaps reaching a temperature that could reduce a man to cinders in seconds. The hotter it is, the more energy it takes from them. It is very dangerous, and if the dragon wants to be extra lethal, it can lace the fire with some poisonous gas.
These dragons are free for others to roleplay!
